Named for the Norwegian born homesteader, Ever Iverson, the City of Everson is now the home for just over two thousand residents. The city is surrounded by rich agricultural soils, snow covered peaks, and is only thirty minutes from both Bellingham, WA and Canada.

Certain areas of the City of Everson are located in a flood zone. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has provided Everson with a Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM)
